1428747500.01f6b8e7a6bc4675b83489ae8640c4c4SBI PO Prelims 20th and 21st June 2015 Exam Analysis: The State Bank of India conducted the On-line Preliminary examination for the recruitment of Probationary Officer posts across the country on 20th and 21st of June 2015. The Online preliminary examination was conducted in four slots in a day i.e. total of 8 sessions. This is the first time that SBI has conducted its prelims exam.

SBI PO Prelims section-wise Analysis:

The SBI PO Prelims Exam 2015 consisted of 100 questions, to be solved in 60 minutes (1 hour). The Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude consists of 35 questions in each section; but the English Language section had 30 questions only. Each question has 5 options. The Exam also comprised of negative marking i.e., for every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks would be deducted.

English Language –>

English Paper which is the most scoring part and deciding paper difficulty range appeared to be moderate. Around 17 to 22 questions can be answered without failure. 10 to 15 minutes is enough for the candidates to complete this section if he/she done good practice on English part.

Questions appeared from Reading Comprehension; fill up the blanks, Para jumbles, cloze test, and errors part.

Quantitative Aptitude –>

Quantitative Aptitude part appeared to be tough as compared to other sections. This paper killed the aspirant’s patience with lengthy and tricky questions. Answering 10-15 questions is ideal for this paper. This is the most time consuming section for the students. Around 25 to 30 minutes is needed for the candidate to answer this paper.

Around 10 questions appeared on Profit loss, time, speed & distance, trains SI, CI etc. 5 questions were seen on Series concept, 10 questions appeared on Data Interpretation, 5 Questions were seen on Quadratic equations and on simplification concept around 5 questions appeared. No questions were seen on Data Sufficiency and Permutation & Combination & Probability.

Reasoning Ability –>

The reasoning section seems to be easy in all the slots. A worthy candidate can surely attempt 22-26 questions in this paper. Totally 35 questions appeared in the paper and total marks for the paper is also 35.

If go in depths of reasoning section 5 questions appeared from Syllogisms part, 5 appeared for Seating arrangements topic, 3 questions were seen on Blood relations concept, 10 Puzzle based questions appeared, 5 Inequalities concept questions were seen. Rest of the 6 questions appeared from different topics like direction-sense, coding-decoding etc. 20-25 minutes is ideal time to complete this paper.

Totally, the overall difficulty level of the paper is moderate and 50-60 attempts are good to qualify for the MAINS Examination with good accuracy.
