Overview:  IBPS has released the much awaited notification of IBPS CWE CLERKS-VI (Common Written Examination) for the recruitment of Clerical Cadre vacancies in 19 public sector banks which is tentatively scheduled to be held in November/December 2016 & January 2017. There are huge numbers of candidates who will apply for this year IBPS CWE CLERKS-VI 2016 Exam. The candidates who applied  are eager to know the Exam Pattern so that they can work hard and clear the exam.

The online examination (Preliminary and Main) for the next Common Recruitment Process for selection of personnel for Clerical cadre Posts in the Participating Organisations is tentatively scheduled in November/ December 2016 & January 2017

IBPS CWE CLERKS-VI 2016-17 Exam Pattern:

The Exam Pattern of IBPS CLERKS-VI consists of two phases –

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination –>

Preliminary Examination consists of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing passing marks to be decided by the IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the IBPS will be short listed for the Mains Examination.

Phase-II: Mains Examination –>

Mains Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks.

The structure of the IBPS Clerks Mains Examination is as follows:

  • The above tests except the section of English Language will be available bilingually i.e. English and Hindi.
  • Reasoning section and Quantitative sections will carry 50 marks each.
  • General Awareness and English Language section will carry 40 marks each.
  • And, Computer Knowledge will be of 20 marks.

Negative Marking (Applicable to both – Preliminary and Main Examination) –>

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

Minimum Cut off Marks –>

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test and also a minimum total score to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cutoffs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview.
