RBI Grade-B Phase-I 2016 Second Shift Exam Analysis & Expected Cut-Off

The Reserve Bank of India has successfully conducted the RBI Grade-B Phase-I On-line Examination across the country in two shifts (Morning and Evening) on 4th September 2016. The Evening shift (IInd slot) Exam was from 02:00 pm to 04:oo pm. Number of candidates have appeared in RBI Grade-B Phase-I Examination. The Examination consists of Objective Tests for 200 marks & was held in a online mode.

The Quantitative section was one of the most difficult sections while the GA section was quite easy with a large focus on current affairs and banking awareness questions. The Reasoning section was moderate to difficult while the English section was moderate. Some students said that the level of Quantitative Aptitude section was quite tough in this year Examination. The pattern of questions in Evening Shift is similar to that of Morning Shift (1st Slot) Exam.

The expected Cut-off of RBI Grade-B Phase-I Exam will be 92-107 for General Category candidates.

English Language – The English section consists of 30 questions. The overall difficulty level of English section in RBI Grade-B Phase-I Evening shift Exam was MODERATE.

The good attempts in English Language was 14-18.

Reasoning Aptitude — The Reasoning Aptitude section consists of 60 questions. The overall difficulty level of Reasoning Aptitude section in RBI Grade-B Phase-I Evening shift Exam was MODERATE.

The good attempts in Reasoning Aptitude section was 41-45.

Quantitative Aptitude – The Quantitative Aptitude section consists of 30 questions. The Quantitative Aptitude section was the most difficult section of the paper. Most of the students attempted as low as 10 questions in this section.

The overall difficulty level of Quantitative Aptitude section in RBI Grade-B Phase-I Evening shift Exam was TOUGH. Questions asked in the Quantitative Aptitude sections is as tough as asked in the Morning shift Exam.

The good attempt should be between 10-15 which was achievable if you have picked the right questions.

General Awareness – The General Awareness section consists of 80 questions. The overall difficulty level of General Awareness section in RBI Grade-B Phase-I Evening shift Exam was MODERATE.

This will be the section that defines the outcome of Phase 1 results with 80 questions here and being relatively more high scoring that the rest of the sections. This section also includes questions on  Banking Awareness, Books & Authors, Currencies, Important Places, Awards, Headquarters, Prime Ministers Schemes, Important Days  etc. Overall questions from this section were of moderate difficulty level.

The good attempts in General Awareness section was 49-54.
